Jenny Ayres - Writer and Actress

Jenny's career, as both a professional scriptwriter and actress, continues to be shaped by her diverse range of work across stage, screen and print.

Jenny's play, Glimpse, completed a successful run at London's Jermyn Street Theatre in 2018 (receiving 4 star reviews and publication by Oberon Books, as part of 'Tomorrow at Noon') and Trouble and Strife, a WW2 play for a female ensemble, is also available from Unthank Books as part of 'Words and Women 2'. And this year Jenny has pitched an idea for a new musical, as part of MMD's BEAM programme, with composer Marisa Cornford...More news to follow soon.

Working as an actress, Jenny has played many roles from the comic to the tragic. Jenny's on screen appearance as The Collector, in sci-fi pilot Ultimate Adventure, was screened at the Prince of Wales Cinema, Leicester Square (2017) and her co-written short film, Runners (in which she played lead), was the only UK short to reach the finals of 'Disney's Star Wars Fan Film Competition' in 2016.
